SELF STORAGE CONFIDENCE INDEX ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER RESULTS

PHOENIX, ARIZ. – Denise Nunez, President and Publisher, MiniCo Publishing, has announced the results of the Self Storage Confidence Index (SSCI) survey for the second quarter of 2008. An initiative of MiniCo Publishing, Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., and Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, LP (formerly Storage Investment Advisors, LLP), the index is designed to anticipate the effects of economic conditions and trends on self storage operations.

“Self storage owners and operators are acknowledging the slowing national economy while remaining confident in the health of their industry,” stated Ms. Nunez, adding, “These results are demonstrating some interesting trends in terms of rental income, rental rates, occupancy and other economic factors as compared to the responses from the first quarter of 2008.”

The quarterly survey records the next-quarter expectations of U.S. and Canadian self storage business professionals in the critical areas of sales, profits, hiring, expenditures and industry economic outlook. SSCI survey results are available at www.selfstorageconfidenceindex.com.
