As reported in the last issue of Key Agent, MiniCo has made some exciting changes.
In June, we announced our agreement with Aspen American Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, to be an additional carrier for MiniCo’s specialty insurance programs for the self-storage industry. Aspen American Insurance Company began underwriting coverage in July in several states, and additional states will be added throughout the year. This relationship provides enhancements including flood coverage, improved wind and hail deductible options, and expanded geographic and peril support.

Earlier this month, MiniCo announced an agreement with AXA Art Insurance Corporation to offer a specialty program to insure private collections in a home or storage facility. The MiniCo Collectibles Insurance program provides scheduled and/or unscheduled coverage up to $1,000,000. Collections are insured for their full collectible value. Covered perils include fire, lightning, windstorm, flood and accidental breakage.

For every full quote request you submit through MiniCo’s agent portal between June 1 and August 31, 2011, you will be entered to win an iPad2.
Each quote request you submit on a MiniCo application equals one entry into the prize drawing (latest eligible account effective date is November 30). MiniCo will draw the winning entry on September 7, 2011. (Please see the Official Rules and Regulations for details.
MiniCo will be traveling to several conventions this fall.
Our representatives will meet the agent community at the ASCnet TENCon in Orlando, the IIAB of Arizona’s 77th Annual Convention in Glendale, the IIAB of Washington’s joint convention with the PIA of Washington in Seattle, the IIA of Ohio Convention in Columbus, the IIA of Illinois Convention Showcase in East Peoria, the Insurors of Tennessee Convention in Kingsport, and the IBA of Sacramento’s I-Day.
We will interact with self-storage owners, managers and other professionals at the Self Storage Association Fall Conference in Las Vegas, the Inside Self-Storage World Expo in Tacoma, the Texas Self Storage Association’s Annual Convention in Austin, and the California Self Storage Association’s Annual Conference in San Diego.
