Planning Ahead For Hurricane Season

Preparing Your Property for Hail StormsSince the record-shattering Atlantic hurricane season of 2005, that region has experienced hurricane activity that has been calmer by comparison. While this is a positive result in many respects, there is a risk that property owners may have become complacent about the possibility of storm-related damage and the impact it could have on business operations. As the respected Colorado State University forecaster Dr. Philip Klotzbach stated in this year's initial extended-range forecast, "As is the case with all hurricane seasons, coastal residents are reminded that it only takes one hurricane making landfall to make it an active season for them. They should prepare the same for every season, regardless of how much activity is predicted."

That means you and your self-storage property don't have to be directly below a thunderstorm to be struck.

Insurance Requirements for Contractors and Tenants
