Your spring maintenance checklist should include a detailed inspection of all exterior fixtures such as lighting and cameras. In addition to ensuring that these systems are fully operational in preparation for the summer rental season, identifying problems and making repairs in a timely manner can help minimize the risk of potential liability exposures.

Be sure to inspect the following fixtures and systems and make repairs as needed.

  • Interior and exterior lighting fixtures, bulbs, and timers
  • Security cameras and camera housings
  • Keypads
  • Signage
  • Exterior doors
