Artisan Contractors Insurance
Artisan contractors face a range of liability exposures that require appropriate insurance coverage. MiniCo’s Artisan Contractors program (ArtisanPAK) gives agents the ability to customize policies for their clients that are commercial, residential, service and repair, and landscaping contractors. Our team of specialized underwriters have extensive industry experience and can rate, quote, bind, and issue policies, as well as service accounts.
This program is currently available in Arizona, California, and Nevada.

Submissions
MiniCo accepts submissions from licensed retail insurance agents and brokers without a producer agreement in place. However, a completed and approved producer agreement is required for binding.

Producer Requirements
- Valid insurance license in your resident state and any state in which we would write business
- Minimum E&O of $1 million/$1 million
- Completed and approved MiniCo producer agreement
Submission Requirements
- Completed ACORD applications for lines requesting quotes
- GL Qualifier or competitor supplemental if it covers most or all of the same risk and exposure information
- For GL, currently valued company loss runs for this policy period plus four prior years
- For other lines, currently valued company loss runs for this policy period plus two prior years
- Target premium for each line quoted (optional)
- Brochures, website links, and other information about the prospective organization (optional)

Renewal Qualifier
A new qualifier is required every three years. Submitting an All Classes New Business Qualifier or the General Information New Business Qualifier with the appropriate class qualifier(s) is also acceptable.

When submitting a claim, please include an ACORD Loss form (preferred) or the policy number, name and address of the insured, and information about the loss details and involved parties including:
- Accident date, time, and location
- A brief description of accident
- Name and contact information of the person reporting the accident
- The main insured’s contact and contact information, including office and cell phone numbers
Once a claim is filed, you may contact GuideOne Insurance to receive your claim number and adjuster information.

QBE Claims
For all QBE claims (Clarendon America Insurance Company, Praetorian Specialty Insurance Company, QBE Specialty Insurance Company, and Praetorian Insurance Company), the following applies:
- QBE handles all prior and new claims. MiniCo Insurance (previously NIF Claims Services and HDR Insurance Services) has transferred all contractor claims to QBE.
- Forward all loss notices and other documents related to claims directly to QBELossRuns@enstargroup.com.
- QBE will send a letter to the insured, broker, and claimant, advising them of the adjuster handling the claim file.
For expedited service on all new QBE claim inquiries, call 800-362-5448 and follow the prompts provided. To speak to someone directly regarding an existing claim, enter extension 603325. Be sure to mention that you have an existing MiniCo Insurance (or NIF or HDR) claim.

Payments
Our premium payment plans cover GL, auto, property, and IM, and they provide significant cash flow advantages for contractors. After posting a security deposit, premium is payable monthly. The security deposit simply rolls over at policy renewal, saving the insured the hassle of another premium deposit or premium down payment, often 25% of their annual premium. Contractors may utilize the GL “pay as you go” class reporting or the convenient fixed monthly payment plan. - MiniCo deposits the check.
- MiniCo’s bank processes your Vcheck as a “Demand Draft” or “Sight Draft.” (This is a common banking activity.)
