Securing a Snow-Removal Company

Winter weather brings colder temperatures, which often mean snow and ice. At a self-storage facility, snow and ice can mean slippery walkways, wet floors, and roofs that need to be cleared of snow accumulation.

Consider contracting with a reputable, insured, and licensed snow-removal company. These companies contract with businesses to remove snow and ice from walkways, driveways, aisles, stairways, and rooftops as outlined in the terms and conditions of a written contract, for example, whenever at least two inches of snow have accumulated.

Keep in mind that if you choose to contract with a snow-removal company, you need to know the terms of the agreement and follow up to ensure that the work is being performed. Also, don’t wait for the contractor to show up to address black ice and other critical hazards that need to be taken care of immediately. If you see it, take care of it.
