Not all agencies and certainly not all independent agents are going to be ready to dish out $200-$300 a day on online marketing. However, even with a smaller budget, you should be able to gain results from your online marketing endeavors.
Before You Spend
Before you dive into spending on advertising, you need to make sure all your graphic work is covered by your current budget. Make sure that your cover photos for each of your social media profiles are good quality. If you don’t have these yet, either hire someone or try your hand at creating your own.
Recognize that while on a budget you won’t be able to do everything, so you really need to know what you want from the start. At a basic level, there are four different types of online marketing campaigns to run, each with different outcomes.
Awareness
To increase the amount of direct traffic coming to your side and to have more people searching for your business, a brand awareness campaign may be most beneficial. It is also one of the most efficient ways of getting eyes on your brand and letting people know you exist.
Leads/Conversions
The most popular thing to spend money on online is conversions or PPC (pay-per-click) ads. The reasoning of this is pretty self-evident. People want conversions, and they want to see people taking action directly on their website. This type of campaign is also the easiest from which to measure accurate ROI.
Social Media
Your social media campaigns go toward increasing your engagement rate, referral traffic and the number of followers you have on each of your platforms. Some aspects of this type of campaign may even be free (minus the time required) with some minor paid boosts every now and again.
Content
The final way to spend your budget and time is to create content and boost your organic traffic. The content that you create can range from blogging and informatics to videos. And remember to push out that content through your social media channels as well. Good content that is received well can boost your SEO and help you gain more organic views.
